Read this before acting on anything the product shows you
AtomiScansurfaces “deals,” tier rankings (Fire / Hot / Warm), profit estimates, ranking, “BUY” calls-to-action, and “verified” listing matches. These are recommendations in the plain-English sense — we are not going to pretend otherwise. What they are not is personalized investment advice from a registered financial adviser. They are algorithmic signals computed from public third-party market data, and they can be and often are wrong. AtomiScan is not a broker, not an investment or financial adviser, and not a source of tax, legal, or accounting advice. Every signal the Service shows you must be independently verified by you before you act on it.
No guaranteed results
Every dollar figure the Service shows you — including displayed price, 7-day average, profit estimate, ROI, tier (Fire, Hot, Warm), and any “Listing Verified” or match confidence badge — is a computed signal based on third-party data and assumptions you can change in your cost profile. Results vary wildly. Most users who act on any given deal will not realize the displayed profit, and some will lose money. Past performance of similar deals does not predict future performance.
We do not guarantee any profit, ROI, resale price, sell-through time, grade outcome, or any other financial result. Screenshots, testimonials, or case studies you may see on our marketing pages or social channels describe the experience of individual users under conditions that no longer exist — they are not representative and they are not promised.
Data — and our verification — can be wrong, stale, or incomplete
The Service relies on third-party data sources (PokeTrace, eBay Browse API, CardTrader, and others). Those feeds can lag, misreport, go offline, or return inaccurate data at any moment. Listings that appear live in our UI may be sold, delisted, or mispriced by the time you click through.
A “verified” badge or green checkmark means our matching algorithm linked a listing to a card identity with above-threshold confidence. It is not a human-audited guarantee. Our matcher can be — and demonstrably sometimes is — wrong: wrong card, wrong set, wrong number, wrong language, wrong condition, wrong grade or grading company, counterfeit or reprint listed as original, listing removed between our last check and your click, or price changed since we read it. A green checkmark is a starting point for your own review, never a substitute for it.
You are solely responsible for independently verifying price, condition, authenticity, seller reputation, shipping terms, and every other factor before committing money. If a signal looks too good to be true, it usually is, and you should treat it with extra scrutiny rather than extra urgency.
Fees, taxes, and real-world frictions
Profit and ROI figures are computed from buy price, buy shipping, platform commission, fixed per-sale fees, and sell shipping — using either defaults or the values in your cost profile. They do not include income tax, sales tax, insurance, grading fees, return losses, chargebacks, unsold inventory cost, labor beyond what you optionally configure, or the risk of a listing being pulled before you can buy or resell it. Your real-world outcome will differ.
You make your own decisions
If you buy a card, sell a card, or make any financial decision because of something you saw in AtomiScan, that is your decision alone. You should consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation. AtomiScan, its owners, and its personnel have no obligation to compensate you for losses, missed gains, or any other outcome of a decision you made while using the Service.
No endorsement of third parties
References to marketplaces (TCGPlayer, eBay, CardTrader), grading companies (PSA, BGS, CGC), and publishers (Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK inc.) are descriptive only. AtomiScan is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.
Liability
This page is part of our Terms of Service. The warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability set out in the Terms apply in full. In short: to the fullest extent permitted by law, AtomiScan is not liable for any loss you suffer from relying on anything the Service shows you.
