The short version
AtomiScanearns commissions when you purchase through some of the outbound links we display. The links marked with an “ⓘ affiliate” chip — and, generally, any “Buy” or marketplace link in the Service — may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. This disclosure is published pursuant to the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255).
What “affiliate link” means
An affiliate link is an outbound link that carries a tracking identifier so that, if you go on to make a qualifying purchase at the destination marketplace, the marketplace pays AtomiScan a percentage of that sale as a referral fee. Your price is not affected. You pay the marketplace the same amount you would pay if you navigated to the listing directly.
Which programs we participate in
- TCGPlayer — via the TCGPlayer / Impact.com affiliate program. When you click a TCGPlayer link in AtomiScan, the URL routes through Impact’s tracker before landing on the product page; a qualifying purchase within the tracking window may credit us a commission.
- eBay Partner Network— when we display a matched eBay listing, the “Buy” link carries our EPN campaign ID so a qualifying purchase may credit us a commission.
- CardTrader — we participate in the CardTrader referral program, and CardTrader listings may include a referral identifier.
Why we disclose this, near the links themselves
FTC guidance requires that a material connection between a recommender and a seller be disclosed in a way that is clear, conspicuous, and close to the recommendation. A single footer page is not sufficient. That is why you will see a small “ⓘ affiliate” chip next to Buy buttons in the Service — hovering or tapping that chip surfaces the short disclosure in-context.
How affiliate revenue affects what you see
Affiliate revenue funds the Service. It does not change which deals or listings we surface. Our deal-detection pipeline is sourced from publicly available market data and is intended to surface the best economic opportunities we can observe for the user — not the links that pay us the highest commission. We do not take payment from marketplaces, publishers, graders, or sellers in exchange for favorable placement, and we do not alter ranking, tier, or “verified” status based on commission rates.
That said, you should factor our financial incentive into how you weigh what the Service tells you. Please also read our Disclaimer — no displayed profit is guaranteed, and every deal requires independent verification before you act on it.
Your choices
If you prefer not to use an affiliate link, you can navigate to the marketplace directly and search for the card yourself. The listing you would see on TCGPlayer, eBay, or CardTrader is the same one our link points to.
